Copitas de Sol: A Virtual Mezcal Mixer
08-08 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CDTFree – $50
Copitas de Sol is back this year as a virtual event benefiting the National Museum of Mexican Art thanks to lead sponsor ABC7 Chicago and the Museum’s Auxiliary Board! Join us from the comfort of your own home as we enjoy some mezcal, play a few rounds of Lotería, dance to live DJ sets and more.
This year we’re thrilled to welcome Lou Bank, mezcal connoisseur and founder of SACRED, a not-for-profit that uses heritage agave spirits from rural Mexico to help improve the quality of life in the communities where those spirits are made. Lou along with his podcast co host, Salvador “Chava” Peribán will teach attendees about mezcal, leading us in a tasting experience that will educate and entertain. Plus, founder of Vida Mia Cocktails Argelia Martinez, will join in the fun to teach us how to make mezcal cocktails — and expect a quick lesson in making aguas frescas (fresh fruit drinks) too.
Last but not least, whether you join the party or not, you can buy tickers to enter an exciting raffle to win the ultimate mezcal package for at-home bars:
