East Asian Approaches to Immunce Enhancement

The single most important aspect of staying healthy is a strong immune response when we are confronted with disease causing agents. We each have the capacity to enhance our immune response in addition to any vaccines that modern medicine might devise. This class will present time honored approaches drawn from traditional East Asian medical traditions, including breathing exercises, herbal formulas, acupressure, mindfulness techniques and diet.
As we approach the fall season, the chances of becoming ill increase. We can improve our odds of warding off illness by consciously working to enhance our immunity or if we do become ill, to shorten the duration and intensity of the illness.
