Join thousands of delighted festival-goers, coming together to exchange, celebrating diversity, culture, and food from over 30 different countries, local and international artists, MCs, DJs, from the Caribbean, Africa, South America and the USA.
In honor of continuity, exchange, and cultural connections throughout the diaspora, Bantu Fest 2020 will showcase arts, crafts, food, vendors, dance, drums, workshops, children activities, and many more activities that will create a unique experience from all of the countries featured.

Access Contemporary Music presents the third annual Thirsty Ears Festival, Chicago’s only classical music street festival, featuring two days of stellar soloists and ensembles, craft beer from Empirical Brewing, food trucks, vendor booths and kid-friendly activities.

Highlights this year include Grammy-winning artist Nicholas Photinos, the Chicago Composers Orchestra, the Grant Park Music Festival String Quartet and a special screening of the Sound of Silent Film Festival on the street Saturday night at sundown.

Yvette Marie Stevens, better known by her stage name Chaka Khan, is an American singer, songwriter and musician. Her career has spanned nearly five decades, beginning in the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the funk band Rufus. Khan received public attention for her vocals and image. Known as the Queen of Funk, Khan was the first R&B artist to have a crossover hit featuring a rapper, with “I Feel for You” in 1984. Khan has won ten Grammys and has sold an estimated 70 million records worldwide.
