The single most important aspect of staying healthy is a strong immune response when we are confronted with disease causing agents. We each have the capacity to enhance our immune response in addition to any vaccines that modern medicine might devise. This class will present time honored approaches drawn from traditional East Asian medical traditions, including breathing exercises, herbal formulas, acupressure, mindfulness techniques and diet.

As we approach the fall season, the chances of becoming ill increase. We can improve our odds of warding off illness by consciously working to enhance our immunity or if we do become ill, to shorten the duration and intensity of the illness.

Please join the MOVEMENT on September 29, 2020 for our first San Gabriel Valley African American Infant and Maternal Mortality Community Action Team meeting!
San Gabriel Valley is facing high rates of preterm and low-birth weight among babies in the African American/Black community. Our goal is to look at the root cause of the issues and together intervene before we start facing high rates of mortality.

Whether you’re a community member or resident, a mom, a dad, a grandma or grandpa or any other family member, a community leader, an advocate, a service provider, a midwife or a doula, this is a forum for us to come together and find solutions.

If you are in any way concerned and want to help stop health disparities from happening- this is your community action team.

Please RSVP to receive meeting link. Space is limited, please RSVP soon and spread the word.

For more information, please contact atrejo@ph.lacounty.gov or go to www.blackinfantsandfamiles.org.
