Product Description
Join us at NHM Virtual Book Club, facilitated by our Resident Scholar Dr. Katherine Kelaidis & our Manager of Programs & Events Cairo Dye. Each month the NHM Book Club chooses a book that is either inspired by the Hellenic legacy or by a Greek American author (and sometimes both!). Then we gather to discuss the book on Zoom.
Book Club is free to join and meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7pm CST.
On April 15th we will be discussing The Siege of Troy by Theodor Kallifatides

More about The Siege of Troy:
In the midst of World War II and the German invasion of Greece, a teacher takes her students to hide in a cave. There she tells them a story about another war and another time Greek heroism gained fame throughout the world. Thus begins Theodor Kallifatides retelling of Homer’s Iliad. This brilliant journey meditates on the complexities of human life, the senselessness of war, and those experiences and emotions that transcend time.
